Changes in Latitude
Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude, Some things remain quite the same.
Yeah but they don't remain the same. How can they ? They can't.
The last year has brought some dramatic change to our lives. We've shifted from renting a home somewhere in Mexico - to having purchased an RV and we're living sorta on the road in the USA.
When we asked spirit "what is next" - the response was "whatever you want". LOL Okay! We're at a new juncture of being able to change path and choose something new.
So we chose travel. Um but we have a house of stuff to fit in an RV! Not a trailer - an RV. Yes it's 37' - yes it's got space - but not the storage options available in a house. No big dresser. No big kitchen cupboards. No extra storage rooms. LOL We've refined what we 'need' . What we want has become a choice of "is there room?" Is it vital? Is it something I'll love sharing with others? If I can't say yes to there is room or it's vital - it remains on the shelf or in the cart online.
But what do you "DO" while living on the road?
Well to just get our feet under us and to be supported - we've decided to workamp. Work Camping. It's yes a real thing LOL We're presently in NE Washington helping at an RV park part time in exchange for a full hookup site (water, power sewer), funds for doing laundry and having a group of other RV'ers around if we have questions or need help. :)
The BIG DRAMA has been around the pets LOL. Ours. 5 cats. yes 5. :) They've been used to having the run of inside and outside - but are learning. Drama comes from a neighbor that apparently detests pets. HOW? But oh the drama of a cat walking to her property to explore was just more than she could bare.
Okay, no worry. I've ordered to cat houses and a cat trail setup to let them be outside. We're going to install a connection to one of the underside spaces for them . We're going to take one of the floor vents out and expand it so they have access 100% at their desire. LOL Yeah even the cat box (new auto clean) will be down there!
When we camped over our honeymoon weeks 27 years ago - we built a huge communal area of a cabin tent and 2 giant tarps. Made the best camp coffee and got the nickname of the "Tent Mahal" . LOL
So I'm going to make a little plaque that says "The Cat Mahal" .
I'll add photos when it all arrives and is setup.
So for now - we're about learning a new lifestyle and still giving our furbabies the best life possible.
